We had a fantastic day yesterday with the Maerdy Youth group in the BBC Studios in Cardiff. We had a training session on how to film and edit using their mobile phones and they were shown some great tips and interesting facts on filming. The young people enjoyed their session by Amy from the BBC and are looking forward to putting their new skill into practice.
After the visit to the BBC studios we stopped at Bridgend Designer Outlet for some lunch and browse through the shops – the young people represented Maerdy Youth exceptionally and were so well behaved, so we would like to thank all the young people that attended the trip to Cardiff and Bridgend – you did yourselves and the organisation proud.
The new skills they have learnt from yesterday will be used to film the group cooking a recipe of their choice this Saturday – 29th October. The cookery session will be aimed to help promote, encourage and motivate other young people to get in the kitchen and cook.
